First things first, burnout is normal! I want you to know that doing your best does not mean pushing yourself to the point of a mental breakdown.
If you’re an over achiever, people pleaser, business owner - it is likely that you have or will experience burn out at one point. But, that doesn't mean that it’s either healthy or necessary.
What is burnout? Feeling burnout causes you to feel paralyzed and overwhelmed by the amount of work that has to be done to “achieve” success.
Do you say “YES!” to everything even when your body is telling you “NOOO!”. Yes to dinner plans, yes to picking up an extra shift, yes to helping someone out with their project, yes to working more hours, yes to babysitting, yes to pool party, yes to volunteering.. you get the point. But, what about yes to YOU???! You need to think about yourself and put yourself first (please promise me, you’ll try it soon!). It’s okay to be a little selfish sometimes.
